If you are interested in a PGY-1 pharmacy residency program that will provide direct patient care experience in a community practice setting, then Northeast Georgia Medical Center is the place for you.
Our residency program provides pharmacists job experiences in various areas including Cardiology, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, Hematology/Oncology, Internal Medicine (Gainesville and Braselton campuses), Medication Safety, Antimicrobial Stewardship and Leadership/Management. Required acute care experiences will be four to five weeks in duration in order to attain the highest level of learning. Longitudinal experiences include managing Pharmacokinetic, Nutrition Support and Anticoagulation Consult services, conducting a performance improvement/research project and providing education (including CME) to health-care providers
At the end of the program pharmacists will possess proficiency in medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions and be eligible for board certification and/or PGY-2 residency training.
To participate in the pharmacy residency program you must have a Pharm.D. Degree from an accredited school of pharmacy. If you would like to join our team, please submit the following through the PhORCAS system:
