NGHS realizes that “one size fits all” doesn’t always fit everyone. That’s why we provide employees with the power to shape their comprehensive benefits program to meet their specific needs. Benefits May Include

Medical/Prescription Insurance

  • Choice between two plans. The Health Partners HRA is linked to a Health Reimbursement Account. The Health Partners HDHP (High Deduction Health Plan) is linked to a Health Savings Account.
  • Both plans are partially subsidized by NGHS
  • The Health Partners HRA Plan provides pharmacy co-pays according to the choice of generic, preferred and non-preferred brand prescriptions
  • Employee Pharmacy is available to all NGHS health plan participants
  • Coverage available to full-time and part-time employees
  • Coverage begins on 1st day of the pay period following 30 days of continuous employment

Dental Insurance

  • Preventive, basic, and major services included
  • Orthodontic services available for children under 19
  • May visit any dentist
  • Coverage available to full-time and part-time employees
  • Coverage begins on 1st day of the pay period following 30 days of continuous employment

Vision Insurance

  • Choice between two networks
  • Co-pays for exam and materials
  • Coverage available to full-time and part-time employees
  • Coverage begins on the 1st day of the pay period following 30 days of employment

Life/Accidental Death

  • Coverage available to full-time employees only
  • Benefit pays one-time based on annual salary; premiums fully paid by NGHS
  • Optional Life & Accidental Death coverage
  • Optional Spouse & Dependent Life Insurance
  • Coverage begins on 1st day of the month following 30 days of continuous employment

401(k) Retirement Savings Plan

  • Available to all employees, age 21 or older
  • Opportunity to contribute up to the maximum annual amount set by the IRS
  • Employees automatically enrolled at 3% of earnings; ability to opt-out provided
  • NGHS will match a portion of employee’s contribution
  • Several investment funds to choose from
  • Coverage begins on 1st day of the month following 30 days of continuous employment

Flexible Spending Accounts

  • Pre-tax money set aside in Health and/or Dependent Care accounts for future reimbursement
  • Coverage available for full-time and part-time employees
  • Coverage begins on 1st day of the month following 30 days of continuous employment

Short-term Disability

  • Elect coverage up to 60% of gross weekly income
  • Price based on the level of coverage selected, up to $5,000 in weekly benefits
  • Coverage available to full-time and part-time employees
  • Coverage begins on 1st day of the month following 30 days of continuous employment

Long-term Disability

  • Elect coverage of 60% of your gross monthly income with a maximum monthly benefit of $10,000
  • Coverage available to full-time employees
  • Coverage begins on 1st day of the month following 30 days of continuous employment

Health Savings Account

  • Employee can choose the amount to be deducted each period, up to the maximum allowed by IRS
  • Tax-free funds
  • NGHS may contribute to account-based wellness plan participation and on the tier of medical coverage
  • Coverage begins on 1st day of the pay period following 30 days of continuous employment

Aflac

  • Supplemental insurance policies including cancer, accident, critical illness, and hospital protection
  • Depending on the plan selected, premiums are payroll deducted on a pre-tax or after-tax basis
  • Coverage available to full-time and part-time employees
  • Coverage begins on the first day of the month following 30 days of continuous employment

Legal

  • Provides access to professional legal representation
  • Coverage begins on 1st day of the month following 30 days of continuous employment

Paid Days Off (PDO)

  • Automatic accrual for full-time and part-time employees upon 1st day of employment
    Includes vacation, holiday, sick, and personal days
  • Opportunity to cash-in PDO hours one time each year, up to 80 hours. Payment is made based on the employee’s current base rate of pay.
  • Available to full-time and part-time employees

Continuous Learning Opportunities

  • Tuition reimbursement for full-time employees: Maximum of $5,500 per approved degree. Reimbursement for part-time employees will be pro-rated.
  • In-service educational courses offered by NGHS
